Bridge Weekend

Although there will be some short presentations on useful bidding methods and play techniques, the emphasis of this weekend is on playing bridge in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

As in previous weekends, there will be supervised rubber bridge sessions, a Pairs Championship, an Open Pairs competition and, on the Sunday morning, a Teams-of-Four competition. Don’t worry if you are coming alone – a compatible partner will be found!

Throughout the sessions “over-the-shoulder” advice will be available, a sure way to improving your game.

                                     11.30 a.m.       Pairs    (Session 2)

                                       1.00 p.m.       Lunch

                                       2.00 p.m.       Rubber Bridge or individual

                                       4.00 p.m.       Afternoon Tea

                                       4.30 p.m.       Landy Defense to 1NT / pairs (Session 3)

                                              7.00 p.m.       Dinner

                                       8.00 p.m.       Rubber Bridge

                                       9.30 a.m.       Bidding over the barrier / teams (1)

                                     11.00 a.m.        Coffee

                                     11.30 a.m.       Teams (2)
