1 Day Master Classes

These courses, a new concept in bridge teaching and aimed at improving bridge players, will be held at hotels in the West of England on a regular basis. Each course will include presentations on linked topics together with prepared hands to be played. The play sessions will be friendly and informal, with “over-the-shoulder” help available at all times.

There will be comprehensive handouts on all the topics covered, plus details of every hand played with suggested bidding and analysis of the play. Themes for these days will include “Useful conventions”, “Slam Bidding”, "Takeout and negative doubles", “Competing after a 1NT opening bid”, “Improve Your Defence”, "Overcalls", “Handling the trump suit”, etc.
